Delivery charges

Delivery of our furniture is available within the wider Auckland area, suburbs as detailed below. Please see below a breakdown of standard delivery charges within Auckland.  Standard delivery of furniture is to your front door on the ground level and does not include unwrapping, assembly or rubbish removal.

If you have a delivery address outside of Auckland and would like to place an order on our Website, please contact us at so we can help make arrangements for your delivery.

Online shopping is only available within New Zealand. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship outside New Zealand at this time.

For orders made on our Website, the standard delivery charge will be calculated at the checkout. To view the cost of delivery for your order, please add all items to your shopping cart and ensure your delivery postcode is correct. Please note that choosing an incorrect delivery method at checkout may void an order.

For delivery areas outside those listed above, please contact us at for further information, before placing your order.

If you would like your furniture to be placed above the ground floor (such as up a flight of stairs) by our delivery provider, you need to specify delivery instructions in the comments section at the checkout when purchasing from our Website or notify our retail assistants when purchasing from our Store. Please note that the delivery provider will contact you direct to discuss your delivery requirements further and advise of additional fees, if any, payable upon delivery.

If you wish for furniture to be unwrapped, assembled and/or for the packaging/rubbish to be removed please advise the delivery provider of this requirement when they contact you to arrange your order delivery time. The standard additional fees are as follows:

  • Unwrapping and rubbish removal - $20 per item
  • Assembly of furniture - $20 per item
  • Removal of old furniture - $50 per item

These additional fees will be payable directly to the delivery provider upon delivery.


Extra-large deliveries

Extra-large orders (being orders of more than 10 pieces) may incur additional delivery fees to those quoted above.  You will be notified if there are additional delivery fees once you have placed your order. If you would like an estimate of additional delivery fees before you make your order, please contact us at with details of your order.  Your order will not be dispatched until all delivery fees have been paid in full.


Delivery times

Delivery times vary by Product availability and by postcode. Products on our Website will be marked 'in stock' or available for ‘pre-order’.

We aim to process 'In- stock' Product orders within 2 business days and you may expect to receive the item within 10 business days from the date of dispatch for delivery. For deliveries outside of Auckland, this will be confirmed when you place your order.

For pre-ordered Products, you may expect to receive your items within 10 business days from the estimated date of arrival (as indicated in the product details on our Website or by one of our retail assistants in our Store at the time of purchase). Once your ordered Products arrive back in stock, we will notify you and the delivery provider will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery time.

While The French Villa and our delivery providers endeavour to meet these timeframes, please be aware that there may be instances where circumstances out of our control prevent delivery of your products within these timeframes.


Delivery tracking

Once your Products are available for delivery, our delivery provider will contact you to book a delivery time. To get an update on your furniture delivery, please contact us at for online orders or call us on 09 213 2814 and quote your order number.


Storage & missed deliveries

If you miss your agreed furniture delivery time, you will be charged a re-delivery fee.  Please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your agreed furniture delivery time if you need to reschedule.

You must accept re-delivery of the Products within 14 days from the date of purchase or the date of arrival, for pre-ordered Products.  If you fail to do so, The French Villa reserves the right to charge storage fees of $50 per delivery per week and/or to cancel your order. 


Damage on Delivery

We, together with our delivery provider, strive to offer both an efficient and safe delivery service by providing well-packaged furniture that is handled with care. If you believe your purchase was damaged during delivery, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your order by phone on 09 213 2814 or by email to and provide further details. We will need to inspect the item before making a decision on how to proceed.



Click & collect

Unfortunately, we do not offer delivery of our homewares at this time. However, click and collect in-store will be available on selected homewares and small furniture items. Please call the store on 09 213 2814 to check if your item is in stock and make a click and collect order.
